| EXPOSURE
= LEADS = SALES (FOR YOU!) |
That's
my personal book marketing and book selling motto! I truly
believe the more exposure you (as an author) and your book get, the
more leads you will generate and ultimately, from those leads, you will
make sales! Voila! So, having said that, allow me the wonderful opportunity
to interview you for my website and to help expose you and your book,
website, occupation, products and services to my list of book-buyers,
fans, friends, prospects and clients.
When
I interview you, I will record the interview, clean it up,
add music to the front/back-end of the audio and then I will post it
to my website for everyone to listen hear. You will also receive your
own MP3 copy of the recorded interview to post on your website, as well
as a lifetime of exposure on my bookstore website.
In order
for the interview to be a complete success, I will need for you to prepare
the following:
 |
Interview Questions |
| This
is pretty standard for interviews. You, being the intervee, need
to provide the interviewer (me) with a list of set questions you
would like me to ask you. You know your book better than I, even
though I am going to read your book. |
| Time
is of the essence. So, I'd like you to prepare between 10-20 questions
about you (the author), your book, the topic you wrote about, perhaps
a few questions about your niche/expertise on the subject related
to your book, where did the idea come from for you book, what inspired
you to write your book, etc. |
| Here
is an example of what I'm looking for when it comes to a list
of prepared questions. |
 |
Personal
Biography |
| What
should I know about you? How would you like me to introduce you?
Do you have any special qualifications, achievements, etc., you
would like me to share with my audience? What should my book-buyers
know about you? Tell me in a one-page biography about yourself. |
| Here
is an example (PDF) of what I'm looking for when it comes to
your personal biography. |
 |
Mail Me A "Review Copy" Of Your Book |
| To
perform the perfect interview, I will need a copy of your
book. This way I can read it, make notes for the interview
and physically reference it when conducting the interview. |

Plus, I might like to take a picture of myself holding your
book for your interview! If you would, please mail a copy
of your book to my office mailing address: |
|
 |
Your
Web Site |
| Naturally,
I would like to learn more about you. If you have a website, you
can send let me know what it is ahead of time so I can review it,
make notes and get to know you better. If you do not have a website
(yet), are you mentioned on other people's websites? Do you have
any press releases or a newsletter you could send me to learn more
about you? In advance, thank you for all your efforts. I want to
ensure a great interview! The more information I have, the better
the interview will go. |
 |
Let's
Schedule The Interview |
| When
would you be available for an interview? Preferably, the afternoon
and evening work best for me. How about you? Let's discuss. Also,
the interview will last between 30 minutes (minimum) and may go
as long as 2 hours. Most interviews though, will be held to 45 minutes
with a possible question/answer period for those callers who wish
to ask you a question about your book (if we have callers on the
line). Some interviews are simple recorded 1-on-1, with just you
and I on the phone doing the interview. |
If I think
of anything else, I'll let you know. Otherwise, you let me know if you
have any questions.
| REQUEST
TO BE INTERVIEWED (ONLINE FORM) ... |
At this
point, if you know you would like to be interviewed by me, and you have
the above items prepared and ready for me to interview you, go ahead
and submit a "Request
To Be Interviewed" using the online form on the next
page. This is the first step in scheduling an interview.
After
I receive your information, I will contact you personally via telephone.
We will verify all the above items, and schedule the interview. In advance,
I look forward to meeting you over the phone (or in person if we get
the chance), and, of course, interviewing you. I know my B.S. fans,
friends, family of book-buyers, visitors, prospects, clients and affiliates
also look forward to hearing our interview ...
