"The thing that goest farthest towards making life
worth while, that costs the least, and does the most,
is just a pleasant smile." – Wilbur D. Nesbit
- Smile at strangers. Life is tough enough. Smile and spread the cheer.
- Be kind to strangers. Don’t be rude, short or mean. Strangers have feelings too.
- Open doors for others at stores and restaurants. Let others go first, before you.
- Help the elderly across the street, with bags of groceries and whenever you see they need extra assistance.
- Always tip street performers whose talents bring joy to many.
- Fund someone’s expired parking meter where it is not legal. And, where it is illegal, isn’t that just B.S.? It really is us against the "American communists", isn't it. Well, if you do feed someone else's parking meter – - don't get caught!!!
"You can tell a lot about a town by the way it treats its visitors."
– Mary E. Potter in Berkshire Eagle
