Commandments For A Loving Husband

BY BART SMITH, AUTHOR OF B.S. THE BOOK

When it comes to fulfilling your role as a husband, men, here's what we ought to do … Note, if you're not married yet, or plan to remarry, be sure you learn these commandments to ensure a happy marriage forever and ever …

(1) Be the head of your home, in deed, no just in word. As head, you are a provider. Always be there to provide for your wife and your family with all your heart, love and soul.

(2) Forever maintain trust and confidence in your wife and be worthy of your own wife’s trust and confidence. Give ample praise and reassurance.

(3) Always be able to sacrifice selfish desires. Cooperate with her in every effort to improve your marriage.

(4) Seek to create an environment surrounded with love, respect, protection, and holiness. Care for her, watch over her, always love her.

(5) Always be faithful and respectful. And always, always, always … respect the sanctity of a physical union.

(6) Never neglect the seemingly little things like her birthday, her favorite candy or some other special thing you have discovered she especially likes. Never forget your anniversary. Celebrate all these things as though they were the first time, over and over again …

(7) Be forgiving … be willing to accept respons ibility for your mistakes … there will be plenty opportunity for this.

(8) Forever avoid rude, harsh and/or sarcastic remarks to your wife, and others for that matter. Respect the dignity of her womanhood, especially in public. Never make your wife ashamed of you, or any unbecom ing behavior.

(9) Be a man, the man you were created to be. Be a husband, the husband you have promised to be. Be a father, when you and your wife choose you ought to be …

(10) Always remember what is implied by 1 through 9 above.
